01 The past
HISTORY
Hipol has been in existence since 1976, and started operating in 1983, as the only producer of polypropylene in this area.
In 1996, Hipol improved the production process by introducing a microspherical catalyst, which was in use until the introduction of a highly active catalyst in 2003.
By obtaining a license in 2015, Hipol expanded its activities to LPG production. In 2016, the pellet boiler started operating, which shows Hipol's environmental awareness and contributes to the preservation of the environment.
02 the present
ABOUT COMPANY
Today, Hipol is the only producer of polypropylene in the Republic of Serbia and the countries of the former Yugoslavia, with a production capacity of 35,000 t of polypropylene per year.
Due to its characteristics, HIPOLEN P homopolymer is a more suitable material in many fields of application compared to polypropylene from other manufacturers. This advantage is provided by Mitsubishi's slurry propylene polymerization technology, followed by successfully implemented production improvements, using a highly active catalyst.

WHAT IS POLYPROPYLENE?
Polypropylene (PP) is a thermoplastic polymer used in a wide range of industrial and consumer products. It is a type of plastic with high strength, yet it is relatively lightweight and flexible. Polypropylene is popular due to its heat and impact resistance. It is suitable for various applications due to its good resistance to abrasion and corrosion, along with low moisture permeability.
PP granules are used in different industries to manufacture everyday products, including the automotive industry, electronics, packaging, textiles, and more. This type of plastic can easily adapt to different shaping requirements.
